The MiG-29 Fulcrum is a well-known fighter aircraft, from the famous Russian design bureau that was once known as Mikoyan-Gurevich. The twin-engined supersonic aircraft is or has been in use with dozens of air forces around the world. We managed to get hold of an authentic engine cover that has enormous decorative value and can be turned into a unique side table with no effort at all.
This engine cover is marked 29+02, the serial of one of the 24 former East-German MiG-29s that Germany inherited after the German reunificiation. The item has been indentified in Germany with the fantastic German word “Schubdüsendeckel” (jet engine cover). The particular Fulcrum that this cover belonged to was sold to the Polish Air Force in 2003 for the symbolic price of € 1.-.
