SOLD Douglas DC-3 passenger door

We are happy to be able to offer a very rare piece of a Douglas DC-3; a passenger door!

The first aircraft in the DC-series was first flown in 1933 and adopted by dozens of airlines around the world. But things changed dramatically when World War II broke out and the DC-3 was chosen by the United States Army Air Force in 1941 as the transport plane of choice. The military designation became C-47 and over 10.000 were built for US operations.

In its long history, which continues to this day, this iconic aircraft was known by various names and designations. Dakota, Skytrain and Gooney Bird, are just a few of these names.

You can therefore only imagine what these steps have seen during the undoubtedly long history of its existence.

Be two steps ahead…
