SOLD General Electric J79 CSD dome
Once used in iconic types as the F-4 Phantom and the F-104 Starfighter, the General Electric J79 engine has made its fame in aviation history. Over 17.000 engines of this type were built, and it is known for its characteristic ‘howl’. This part is the CSD dome (housing the constant speed drive/generator) of Phantom versions of the J79 engine.
Start-up approved
Although just a part of the J79 engine, the CSD dome has a unique design and can be considered as a piece of aviation art on its own. Not only because of its interesting shape, but also the fact that you can “open it up” to reveal even more. The stainless steel structure will look good in any living room, office or mancave.
